Frequently asked questions

Is this Excel to SQL converter free?

Yes. No account, no sign-up, no watermark. Open the page and start converting.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything runs in your browser. Your Excel file is read and processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is logged.

Which SQL dialects are supported?

MySQL (backtick quoting), PostgreSQL, SQLite (double-quote quoting) and SQL Server (bracket quoting). Column types are inferred as INTEGER, REAL or TEXT.

Does it generate a CREATE TABLE statement?

Yes. Enable the CREATE TABLE option and the output includes a CREATE TABLE statement with inferred column types before the INSERT statements.

How are empty cells handled?

Empty cells are exported as NULL in the SQL output.

What happens to Excel formulas?

Formulas are evaluated and their computed values are included in the output. The formula itself is not exported.

Can I embed this converter in my own app?
